Edgar "Buck" Archer, age 93 of Bloomington passed away Saturday May 26, 2012 at Garden Villa. He was born in Monroe County to Drura and Ethel Crouch Archer on April 24, 1919. Buck enjoyed various vocations over the years working as a farmer, driving a school bus for MCCSC, working for Chevrolet and at Indiana University. He also served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
Buck leaves behind his wife Elsie Hattabaugh Archer; son Phillip Archer and his wife Janet; grandchildren Denice Kinser and her husband Herbert, Debbie McGlothlin and her husband Rick, Dennis Archer and his wife Anita all of Bloomington, and grandson David Archer and his wife Lori of Greenwood. Buck is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, sister in laws Betty Grabe, Edna Hattabaugh, Lillian Hattabaugh, Betty Hattabaugh and brother in law Wayne Hattabaugh and his wife Nancy.
Funeral services for Buck will be conducted Thursday May 31, 2012 at 11:00AM at Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37 with Rev. Russell Elkins presiding. Visitation will be held the same day, Thursday May 31, 2012 from 10:00AM until the time of the service at 11:00AM, also at Allen Funeral Home.
