Your family are in my thoughts and prayers. John will be missed here at Stonebrook. He was a loveable man and I was glad to call him my friend. He had resided here since June 30th, 1969.

Dear Scott and family:
John and I went way, way back -- I think we were in kindergarten together at University School. I had hoped he would be at the centennal celebration of IU's Ernie Pyle School of Journalism in September, but he wasn't. I should have called him then. All my memories of him are good ones. Bless his soul.

Dear Claire and Scott,
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. He and Mike Myers were great friends of mine from the class of 1958 at UHS. John did some great impressions - not the least of which was Judy Garland!
Words can't really compensate for heartbreak, but you are in my thoughts.

To Claire, Scott and families, My heart felt sympathy. John was a light in the forest. I'll miss him. He dunbed me with the name of Krash or "the Krone.“ I dubbed him a great ally and friend.

Dear Scott & Claire,
I was so sorry to learn of your brother's passing. He was a bit older than me, so I never really knew him that well, but I remember him having that great Mahan sense of humor.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am saddened to learn of John's passing. He and I were fraternity brothers at Indiana University and one I remember fondly. I regret the paths we took after graduation prevented our continuing that association. It was my loss. Goodbye, my Brother.
