Kathleen Rosemary Higgins Thompson, age 82 of Bloomington passed away Sunday March 4, 2012 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born February 17, 1930 in Indianapolis to Ralph C. and Therese Bilyeu Higgins. Kathleen spent most of her working career with Balkamp Genuine Parts in Indianapolis for over 33 years. She leaves behind her husband of nearly 60 years Donald Thompson of Bloomington, and a son Wayne C. Thompson of Indianapolis. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and a son Darryl E. Thompson. Funeral services will be held for Kathleen on Thursday March 8, 2012 at 11:00AM at Allen Funeral Home 4155 South Old Highway 37. Burial will follow on Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 7, 2012 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM also at Allen Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenfuneralhome.org.
