Marlene Renee' "Neigh" (Deckard) Harper, 55, of Bloomington
sadly left us so unexpectedly early Saturday, June 10th,
at her home to walk with the Lord. Renee' was born and raised
in Bloomington on Sept. 25, 1956. She is the youngest
daughter of Ervin and Joyce Deckard of Bloomington, whom were
always there for her regardless of what time of day or night she
need them or what the circumstances involved.
Renee' was a graduate of B.H.S. South and she was also a graduate
of Ivy Tech in Bloomington where she earned a degree in
administrative sciences while raising two yo9ung sons at home by
herself. She was a wonderful mother who never remarried and
sacrificed so many things in her own life to raise, provide and
care for her two sons that were her whole world. Through good
times and bad, she never gave up or quit on raising them. She
knew that regardless of any circumstance as long as her boys were
healthy and they were all together, she could and would make it
through anything.
Renee' enjoyed doing anything outdoors, spending time with and
talking to her Mother and Father, riding horses and she especially
loved spending time with her two sons and grandchildren. She
left us so suddenly and unexpectedly that it has torn a part of out
of so many hearts that will be scared and undoubtedly hard to mend
or accept for many years to come.
Renee' loved the Lord and spoke to Him daily, even if for nothing
more than just to watch over her mother, father, her brothers, her
sisters, her sons and her grandchildren. She is survived by
two sons; Randy Harper, Jr. and Toby Harper, both of Bloomington,
her mother, Joyce Deckard of Bloomington, who has been her rock for
so many years, one brother, Tony Deckard of Bloomington who was
always her shoulder to cry on and talk to, whatever the time of day
or night, without ever a judgmental word, two sisters; Vivian
Corbin of Solsberry and Sharon Moore of Bloomington, who were
always there for her in her time of need. She is also
survived by four grandchildren; Bailey Harper, Jake Harper, Makayla
Harper and her youngest Kylyn Harper, all of Bloomington, whom she
greatly enjoyed and loved spending time with. It will be a
void in there loives that can never be replaced by losing "Mamaw
Neigh". She is so deeply loved by her grandchildren, 3
nieces, Vadonna Combs of Bloomington, Shannon Krebb, Bloomington
and Missy Arter of Bedford, 4 nephews; Monty Moore of Pt.
Charlotte, Fl, Clinton Moore of Bloomington, Justin Deckard and
Rusty Deckard, both of Bedford along with many aunts, uncles and
cousins from Idaho to Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin Deckard whom she
loved and missed so dearly, her grandmother and grandfather Gibb
and Elfred Deckard and her other grandmother,
Elizabeth Deckard .
Renee' was so dearly loved by all of her family for her
caring, nurturing and fun loving nature with her family and
all her children. She will be so greatly missed everyday by
her family and many friends. Our hearts will never heal from
this loss of someone so special. She will always be in our
hearts and never forgotten.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Allen
Funeral Home, 4155 S. Old St. Rd 37 with Jerry Lane
officiating. Burial will be at Clover Hill Cemetery in
Harrodsburg. Friends may call upon the family from 10:00
a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
