Robin Dwight Sowders, 51, of Bloomington died on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born on November 2, 1958 in Long Beach, California the son of Larry Dwight and Shirley (Mobley) Sowders.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was an assistant manager with Menard’s in Bloomington.

          Robin will be fondly remembered for his love of his family, enjoying being outdoors, his dog “Harley” and riding his motorcycle with friends.

          Survivors include his mother, Shirley Stangas of Bloomington, his children; Robert Scott Sowders, Amber Hallan and Brandy Sowders, all of Arizona, his grandmother, Mildred Irene Mobley of Bloomington, one brother, Jeff Sowders (Marjann) of Bloomington his two sisters, Stephanie York (Troy) of Bloomington and Cheryl Brown (Jason) of Bedford, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Sowders, his step-father, George Stangas, his grandfather Merle Mobley and one grandson, Lucky.

          Memorial services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4235 W. Third St. in Bloomington at 2 p.m.

Saturday.  Friends may greet the family at the church preceding the services.
